Visiting Malaysia without tasting 'Nasi Lemak'?? beuuuhhhh....that's really not enough!

although we can find such kind of this Nasi Lemak in Indonesia (It is just like Nasi Uduk), Nasi Lemak is still being Nasi Lemak! (haa...mekso!),hehe...alright, Nasi Lemak is similar to Nasi Uduk, it is about made by mixing the rice with santan, milk squeezed from coconut, then it is cooked together till half-cooked. Next, it must be steamed till cooked. For the taste, Nasi Lemak should be served with sauce made of any flavors. You can eat it with fried chicken, fried teri, or boiled egg, or anything you want.

In USM cafe, the price of Nasi Lemak itself is about 60 sen (RM 0.60), not including the side dishes (lauk). But, it was still cheap and made us full.....

hmmm...whatever you did, I was happy spending my SatNite with Fanny, though it's raining outside, we just went ahead to taste the food we wanted to taste yesterday. yeah we wanted to taste Sushi, and tonight we had it already!!

leaving home at about 6. 15 pm, Fanny and I went to see my friend first before we went to the resto. well, I invited my friend, Yuyun, who has tried sushi there, and when we arrived there, the resto was just not like what I imagined before. it's small and narrow, but the place was comfortable enough. anyway, it's time to order!!

Sakuramaki Sushi

when I was in Nagoya Fusion Resto, I ordered Sakuramaki Sushi with crab inside, I prefer choose crab than shrimp and tuna. well, I knew that I might be surprised with the taste of Japanese food, especially with Sushi. Sakuramaki itself was so strange in my tongue, the taste of sushi rice is different from the rice commonly eaten by us because it contains of the mixed of rice vinegar (mizkan), salt, and sugar. hmmm...can you imagine the taste? moreover if they are dipped in kecap asin (shoyu) or oily on wasabi. actually, I have no more willingness to eat sushi again, I hope tonight was the last time for eating sushi, and I wish I can taste it again in the real country where it comes from...Japan! amiieennn...hoho

But, tonight was a beautiful night. beside treating my curiosity to eat sushi, Fanny and I also went to my grandpa's house in Sleman to take foods from my Mom. Yeah! my Mom and Dad (gayaa...biasane bapak ibu kowhh...) are in Jogja now, cause I couldn't go home, so they decided to visit me here...haha...no at all, they just have other business in Jogja. hoho...

well, a little bit confused getting my Grandpa's house and the rain over our head, we were successful takin' my favorite food there. not much longer there, we went back to Annida directly and having little party...!!!

in short, tonight was just all about culinary from Japanese to Javanese...and sure, we still prefer JAVANESE...!!! yeaahhh...(to be continued) 

Paper or "Laper"??

yesterday was a tiring day, half of my day was spent to think and do my paper. my mind was full of...

PAPER...PAPER...PAPER...and PAPER......

that was so sick. but, making paper isn't too bad actually, it is quite fun and enjoyable. moreover if it is written in English. yeah, actually I am lazy enough to write using my first language, Bahasa Indonesia. A'a...it doesn't mean that I would rather love English than love Bahasa, I still use Bahasa in the formal circumstances, depends on with whom I talk. but, in my daily, I prefer use my mother language, "ngapak".hwehe....

well, last time, I, mba Dwi, mba Husni, and Imanuri were invited by Mrs. Indah to visit her house. we went there to report the progress of the papers we have made. fortunately, She also prepared lunch for us, she told us that she would made Soto Jawa Timur for us by herself. so, we obviously delayed to have breakfast first and waited to have lunch at her house for FREE...!!! hahaha.....

well, although each of us had own problem, the existence of snack and food which never stopped, made us kept to think about the paper,,,hee...

anyway, here are the problems...

mba Dwi Titi Maesaroh, couldn't be focus on her paper because she just had an accident. She lost her STNK (driving license) . all the time she beefed about it. huhu....I've just known that she is a careless and panic women. Careless means she sometimes doesn't pay attention to her goods carefully, and when she lost one of her important things, she will be really panic about it. it made me laugh seeing her that way...haha...piss mbak. FYI, she was just accepted to have students exchange in.......USA!! OMG, can't you imagine that?? It's USA, one more time...USA!! ckck....

mba Husni Fithri, kept confused about her paper. yeah, just like mba Dwi, she lost something important too. she lost her file of the paper on her laptop because of infected by virus! But, she was successful to make the paper from the begining again! hoho...me?? I can't even make 2 pages of paper in one night. so...saluuutt for mba Husni!

Imanuri, ooo...this person always thought about his paper, but the paper progress was not as fast as he ate up foods at Mrs. Indah home,haha....easy...easy...nevertheless, we should respect his spirit and great willingness to be able to follow the conference in Malaysia. yeah, when he heard about the conference, he made the abstract of the paper directly, in fact, the paper should be submitted in the following day. me..?? need several days just to think about what am I going to write...FYI, this person can't stop thinking about what have mba Dwi done till she got a chance to study in USA....hmm...I know it really hurts. haha...

and what was my problem??

I just wanted to sleep as soon as possible! I was so sleepy at the time. uuhh...actually, I wanna threw up doing the paper, like it would never be ended, hoho....

well, alhamdulillah actually I have already sent the paper, but I am not free yet. there is some I have to prepare before the time, exercises to present the paper, making power point, and reading books relating to my paper. hash...so tiring...but...LET'S MOVE AND SHAKE!!! ha??

Delicious of Soto Khas Jawa Timur

when Mrs. Indah told us that she was going to make soto jawa timur, I wondered whether it is like common soto or not. there is no big difference between them actually. but, Soto Khas Jawa Timur is tasteful because the sauce (kuah) is really thick and strong. it is poured by koya. Koya is made by shrimp kerupuk polished with garlic...hmm making it tasteful stronger. that's what make it different from common soto. just makes me wanna eat it again!

Eating "Mercon"?? hmm...you should try sometimes!

last night, I and my friends went to buy some different food that we never taste before,

mba Patma, who have tried this food before us, told us that this is the kind of food that we cannot pass because it tastes soooo.......cool! yeah, it's so so......HOT!

(cool, not cold, cool=hot?? forget it! hoho...)

we were curios and wanted to try someday,

finally, last night we went to the place selling that food, oseng-oseng mercon!

from the name, you can imagine how it can be exploded on our stomach! hohoho...

you know, the place was so crowded last night.

but it couldn't make us go back!

we kept waiting not so long, oohh....thank you...they were give in to us! he...

oseng mercon contains of tender beef catsup with sambal on it.

it can be eaten with fevered of rice.

hmm.....yummy....like melting on tongue,he....

I told you before, it was so HOT!

well, it's really really, I 'm not lying....it was the hottest food ever, in my life!

I suggest you, you should try sometimes,

though it is so hot, it is delicious too, and the taste makes us wanna try again,,

but the price....hehe...ah it doesn't matter, I think Rp 10.000,- is fair for a plate of delicious and sexy food like this...(farah queen's quote,hoho)

hhmmm....I love Jogja, and the food!

anyway, Fanny, Fefri, Eva, Yuyun, Nela....when can we try oseng mercon together again???
